Overview
Meta keywords tags should be considered when a shop owner wants to increase a site rank through search engines. Meta tags are usually inserted into the "head" area of your web pages and looks like:

What each meta tag stands for
There are three types of meta tags:
- Page Title is shown in the browsers top bar and in most cases in search engine listings.
- Meta Keywords are indexed by search engines. These are supposed to be brief words or word phrases, like: computer, Sony televisions, php shopping cart, etc. Specify the most important keywords that describe the content of your wepages most accurately. Separate each keyword with a comma.
- Meta Description is also used by robots to allow them to list your site in their indexes. Meta Description provides a long description of the items you sell, like: We offer a wide range of Sony Flat Panel Televisions.

Places to set meta tags
ViArt shopping cart allows to set meta tags in a few places through your Admin interface, in particular:
- Per each certain product - navigate to Administration > Products > Products&Categories, edit product > Description tab > Meta Data section (at the bottom of the page).
- Per each product category - navigate to Administration > Products > Products&Categories, edit category > Meta Data section (at the bottom of the page).
- For articles type, articles categories, articles > Meta Data section - navigate to Administration > Articles > Articles Settings.
- For custom pages - navigate to Administration > CMS > Custom pages > Meta Data section.
- Meta tags shown on the index page - navigate to Administration > System > Global Settings > HTML Settings on Main Page section.

FAQ
How to check that meta keywords are added?
Open your site in a browser you use, right-click the mouse and select to view a source code. If everything is ok you'll see the text like:
How to separate meta keywords?
It is better to seperate meta keywords with a comma and with a space in front of the next word.
